Kevyn Malloy, Ph.D.

Kevyn has been very successful in a wide swathe of careers that lead her to a prominent executive and personal coaching practice.

She began her career teaching High School English in Allentown, PA for 3 years and then, becoming restless, opened and managed a seafood restaurant in Surf City, NJ. Still following her muse, she studied clinical psychology at Temple University and received her Masters degree in 1979 and Doctorate degree in 1989. This led her to twenty-two years of very successful practice in family relationship counseling and life transition counseling for divorced women.

Kevyn closed her clinical practice in 2004 to co-found Evergreen Seminars, and help medical executives to improve their leadership skills through coaching. Under the banner of Evergreen Seminars, she conducts workshops on leadership development and strategic planning for board members and executives of non-profit organizations.

Using her early career experience, Kevyn founded Extremely Rare Coaching and coaches partners in family owned restaurants, helping them to balance family and business needs, achieve restaurant success, and have great fun in the process.

Recently, Kevyn was chosen to coach candidates for Smeal College of Business at Penn State University’s Executive MBA program.

Returning to her teaching roots, Kevyn teaches a Foundations class for new coaches for MentorCoach. She is passionate about developing the skills of coaching students so that they are able to help others to lad full and satisfying lives.

Kevyn brings a huge energy and boundless enthusiasm to everything she does, including coaching; she stays motivated by her awe of the power of personal coaching, her curiosity about people and personalities, and the thrill of using her skills to help people solve big problems and transform their lives.

Kevyn isn't your typical reserved clinician: she has a raucous sense of humor, a boundless enthusiasm for adventure, and a limitless passion for encouraging others to live life to it’s fullest. She makes a good friend and a great coach.
